Graphic Design/Photoshop 1:
Review Project:

  • Calendar Project:
  1. Go to the videos and files page and find the link for the Calendar project.
  2. There are 5 videos for this project.
  3. This is a "Review Project," meaning you will use skills that, for the most part, you have already learned.
Advanced Graphic Design/Photoshop 2:
Project:
  • Create a 2013 calendar cover using only text and effects (no photos or clip art).
  • One image will be chosen by the board of the Arc of the Hill Country to be used in various applications, including a calendar.  Although the Arc serves the special needs population of our community, the board specifically wants an image that will be generic enough to use in any application - in other words, you don't have to worry about the graphic reflecting the purpose of the Arc, just worry about creating a cool, fun graphic.  All images posted to your blog on or before Monday, January 21st will be submitted to the board for consideration.
  • You must keep your original Photoshop image!  If your image is chosen, the board will need the original in order to print the image at different sizes.
  • Make your cover 12" wide x 8" high and 300 dpi.  You have to stick with these dimensions.
  • Here are some examples.
  • FYI, I found all the examples when I searched for "Photoshop Text Effect."  There are tons more!

Advanced Graphic Design/Photoshop 2:
Assignment:
  •  Choose a new project either on your own or from the sets on my computer (Command K, Browse, Linda's iMac, Teacher Public Folder, adv ps tutorials)

Digital Graphics:
Assignment:
  • Begin a practice (25 second) Stop Motion Animation.  This doesn't have to be award winning--it's called "Practice" for a reason!  Anything goes--a pencil rolling across a desk, whatever.
  • Note:  You will need to figure out a way to keep your camera steady.  I have one tripod and I'm looking to borrow at least one more, but some of you may be working without one (unless someone has one he/she can bring?)

  • I am going to be printing out images as posters to use in a recruiting video.  If you wouldn't mind being in the video please let me know, and let me know which image you would like printed.
  • Here is sorta what you'll be saying:  "Hi, my name is _____, and I made Mr. Burks into Superman, but only in Photoshop."  Or something like that.

Digital Graphics:
Assignment:
  • With a partner, research how to create a stop motion video using iMovie
  • Outline the steps in Microsoft Word and email them to me.
