Graphic Design/Photoshop 1:
Assignment:

  • Turn your image from yesterday into a magazine cover.
  • First, save your image as a .png.
  • Next, you will need to get an action called Ezine Curly Flat from my computer.  (Command K, Browse, Linda's iMac, Teacher Public Folder).  Drag the file to your desktop and double click on it.
  • In Photoshop, open your Actions panel (look under the Window menu if you don't see it).  The action should already be in you panel.
  • Run Step 1 which will create the cover for you. 
  • Add your image from yesterday.  Also add other components, such as the title of the magazine, the date, the title and date on the spine, and at least two "articles" in the magazine.  
  • Run Step 2 of your action.
  • Save your image as a jpeg and upload to your blog.
Advanced Graphic Design/Photoshop 2: 
Assignment: 
  •  Read handout from Mrs. Miller and follow along with the short assignment in the handout.  I know you don't have the file in question, but you can use one of your own. 
  • Upload a screenshot of your "File Info" (Description Tab) to your blog.
  • Answer the review questions and multiple choice questions on a separate sheet of paper.  
  • Work on your own!

Digital Graphics:
Assignment:
  •   Continue with your current assignment.

Graphic Design/Photoshop 1:
Assignment:

  • Mrs. Miller is going to show you why Actions are so awesome how to get to them, and then
  • You are going to use your own images to test out the actions included in Photoshop and get a good feeling of how they work and why they're beneficial and then
  • You are going to upload at least three images that you created and/or enhanced with an Action
  • And finally, you are going to search for Actions to download and test. 
Advanced Graphic Design/Photoshop 2: 
Assignment: 
  •  Continue with projects

Digital Graphics:
Assignment:
  • Use the laptop to create voiceovers for the iMovie project
  • Take turns so that each page has a different voice
  • Have your iPads ready to research the requirements below (Hint:  Google "Audio Editing in iMovie 11)

  • Everyone should be able to do the following:
  1. Switch from single to multiple rows in your timeline
  2. Make portions of your audio louder
  3. View the audio "waveform"
  4. Fade in and out of your separate clips
  5. Know how to "reduce hum"
  6. Add effects to your voices

  • Finish the Actions tutorials on the videos and files page (under "Resources")
  • Upload your finished name/graphic and a screenshot of your actions palette showing your new action
Advanced Graphic Design/Photoshop 2: 
Assignment: 
  • There are several new tutorials in the Adv. PS tutorials on my computer (to get there, press CmdK, Browse, Linda's iMac, Teacher public folder)
  • Choose a tutorial from set 3 or 4 (set 4 will store the new tutorials you requested, unless the tutorial was not a premiere tutorial) 

Digital Graphics:
Assignment:
  •  Learn to set up sound booth and record voice-overs in iMovie

  • Finish Thanksgiving project if necessary and post to your blog
  • Complete the Actions tutorials on the videos and files page (under "Resources")
  • If you donated in order for the class to get the PSD Tutes site for a month, please go to the site and choose two tutorials I should get.  (Make sure they are not for Photoshop 6!)  Send me links to the tutorials either by email or by using the "comment" link below this post.
Advanced Graphic Design/Photoshop 2: 
Assignment: 
  • Finish Thanksgiving project if necessary and post to your blog
  • Make sure you have either posted on my blog or emailed me a list of minimum two psd premier tutorials you would like to have from PSD Tutes.  (Make sure they are not for Photoshop 6!)  Send me links to the tutorials either by email or by using the "comment" link below this post.
  • Review the actions tutorials assigned to Photoshop 1

Digital Graphics:
Assignment:
  • Finish Thanksgiving project if necessary and post to your blog
  • Begin "archival" scanning (in each class)
  • Finish Photo Tutorial and upload to your blog
