5/13/14

All classes:

Photoshop 1:
Assignment:
  • Photoshop Exam Review
  • Begin Photoshop Exam or take one more practice test
Photoshop 2:
Assignment:
  • If you are working on the certification exam, see Photoshop 1 assignment.
  • If you are not working on the certification exam, make sure all of your images are on your Pinterest board.  This will count 10 points toward your final exam grade.
  • Make sure you have a Pinterest link at the top of your blog--not a blog post, but a "gadget."  If you don't have this link at the top of your page, I will not look for it, and I will count off 10 points.
  • To find gadgets,
    • click on Design (look at the top right of your screen),
    • click on "Layout"
    • and then click on "add a gadget."
    • Find the gadget called "link list."
    • Paste the link to your Pinterest board.
  • Your final exam:  Create a tutorial using text and screenshots.
  • You can create a tutorial on any of the skills I cover in Photoshop 1 (since the tutorials I have are using CS5, I can use your tutorial as an update.)
  • Use your own images.
  • If you want to create a video of your screen like I do, you can use Quicktime.
  • Seniors:  Your tutorial should have a minimum of 10 screenshots and steps.  You have from now until exam day to complete and turn in your tutorial.
  • Juniors:  You will create two tutorials.  You have from now until exam day to complete and turn in your tutorials.
Note:   Tutorial subjects are on a first come, first serve basis.  I don't want a bunch of tutorials over how to crop, lol.

Use the comment section below to tell me what subject you're covering in your tutorial. Make sure you tell me who you are!  (first names only)

Gaming Graphics:
Assignment: Box Art and Blog Post
  • Final Project:  Video game marketing.
  • Recreate the "box art" for a video game of your choice.  Here is a page with examples.
  • Create the box art in Illustrator.  It must fit a dvd case when you print it out and trim it.
  • It must have all the elements of a real cover.
  • Create a blog page to advertise your game.
  • It must contain all the elements of a real blog that would typically advertise a game release.
