All classes:

Photoshop 1:
Assignment:
Printing:  You may choose either your cartoon self-portrait or your finished silhouette to print to the color printer (color laser jet).  Make sure you click "scale to media" so that it prints to 8.5 x 11.

You may also choose to print your text portrait.  You can print that to the regular printer (hs-626-lj3005) since it is black and white.
Photoshop 2:
Assignment:
  • Cont. with iPad Concept project.
  • Upload your finished image along with a description about what you did or what you learned.

    • Save the original Illustrator files!
    • You will need 8 different original characters (Not ones that you created previously)
    • Can be done as pixel art or not, this is your choice.
    • Must have a theme (and the theme cannot be "sprites I made.")
      • Examples:  Water Creatures, Monsters, People, etc.
    • Must all have the same style  (i.e. pixel art or line art).
  •  Create a template for your cards:
    • Size:  8.5 x 11
    • Outline your cards on this template
    • Size of cards:  2.5 x 3.5
    • Put four designs on one page and four on another
  • Create a design for the back of the card
    • Can be a pattern so that you don't have to worry about matching the front and back
  • Print to the black and white printer to test
    • Ask permission before printing to the color printer.
Additional Options/Challenges
(You may do these only if you have completed the above requirements):
  • Create a deck of 52 cards.
  • Create your cards so that they can be played for multiple games, for example Go Fish and War. (However, Go Fish is the required game, so you have to still be able to play Go Fish.)
  • Create your card backs so they do need to be matched to the front to print correctly.
