PROJECT:
Create a poster for your quote.  

The poster needs to be 13" x 19" pr 19" x 13" with a resolution of 300 (if you are using Photoshop).

You must have some kind of image or images for your poster, not just text.  Here are some examples.
(They are not all examples with a quote...)

ALL images you use must be your own, or an adaptation of something you found on the web.  For instance, you might find an image of someone running and then copy that image, make it a silhouette, and use it like this:

All classes:  

Create a basic text image for your quote.  The image should be 5" x 5" with a resolution of 300 (if you are using Photoshop.)  Use any color you like for your background.

Find a font online to download and install to use for your quote.  Don't use a font that's already on your computer.  Even if you've downloaded a font before, you must find a new one.

Post the finished image and the link to the font.  Write a sentence about what you learned.

After finding your #1 strength yesterday, today, find a quote about your strength.  For instance, if your #1 strength is courage, here is a quote about courage:  "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.--Walt Disney"  But this one is also about courage, even though it doesn't have the word courage:  A single feat of daring can alter the whole conception of what is possible.--Graham Greene"

Once you find your quote, upload it to your blog.

• Choose two grid assignments from the class and complete them.  (Put in Illustrator or Photoshop and fill in the colors.)  Write a review of the grid in their comment area.  Include one good thing about it and one thing that could be improved.

• Export or save your grid assignment as a png and import it onto an InDesign page.  Arrange everything as if it were a worksheet--with a place for the student's name, date, etc.  The goal is for a teacher to be able to print out multiple copies and give to a class to work on.

Photoshop 1:

Assignment: 

Project:  iTunes Silhouette

Create a silhouette of yourself with an object.

Start with an 8 x 10 image at 300 resolution.

Drag your photo into this file.

Use the pen tool to create and fill in the silhouette.

Add your extra image, use the pen tool to trace it and fill it with white. 

Create a background using the background tutorial and brushes.  Feel free to use different colors, shades and brushes.

• If you don't have a Pinterest account, go to Pinterest.com and create one.  It's free.
• Create a page for your Photoshop work.  You can call it whatever you want.
• Add a Pinterest button to your browser so you can easily Pin your images.
• Pin each of your images from this year to your page.
• Put a link to your page on your blog.

One from each subject will be chosen to include in my Tutorials iBook as well as my iTunes U Courses.  They will also be made available to iTunes U Course Creators from across the state.

• Create a stick figure animation of a person walking across your screen.  Stick figure must have head, face, arms, hands, feet, legs, body, etc.  
• Create a background for your stick figure that would allow the figure to go from one spot to another, i.e. a road, a trail, etc.
• These are the minimum requirements--the more detail, the better!
• Create an animation background.
